Daniil Sergeyevich Medvedev is a professional
Russian tennis player. He is a former world No. 1, holding the position for a total of 16 weeks. Currently ranked world No. 3 in singles by the ATP. Medvedev has won 20 ATP Tour singles titles, including the US Open in 2021 and the ATP Finals in 2020. Medvedev defeated then-world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the final of the former to deny him the Grand Slam.
His six Masters titles were all won at separate venues, making him only the sixth player in history to win ATP Masters titles at six distinct locations, and the first to do so with as little as six titles.
Medvedev made his ATP Tour main draw debut in the 2015 Kremlin Cup singles event. In 2017, he participated in a major for the first time at Wimbledon, when he defeated Stan Wawrinka, world No. 3.
